Why the Boosters?
Our future is determined by how we invest in youth. Our community has always invested strongly in the lives of our youth, and therefore in ourselves and our future. One such strong investment in our youth and community is through the Roland-Story Athletic Booster Club. The results of this investment are easy to see. Not only have we seen successful athletes in a wide array of sports, but we have also seen greater ethical and moral development, a stronger sense of family, and a commitment to volunteerism.

The Roland-Story Athletic Booster Club is made up of businesses, parents, grandparents, friends and other supporters of our RS student athletes. Each year the Booster Club assists the athletic department with meeting the needs of its sports programs. Our objectives are to:
- Promote and foster interest and goodwill toward all athletic programs at Roland-Story
- Bring into closer relationship the home, school and fans who follow athletics
- Stimulate good sportsmanship and fair play by athletes, coaches and fans
- Secure, for all athletic programs, the highest standards and advantages a program can provide
Funds raised by the Booster Club go towards:
- Upgrades to Roland-Story athletic facilities
- New uniforms for high school and middle school teams
- Dedicated and trained strength coaches
- Weight room and practice equipment
- Special requests from coaches and the athletic department to help our athletes succeed on the court, field, mat, or course
How do the Boosters raise money for our school?
Our primary fundraising activity is selling family and business memberships.
We also coordinate and manage a number of events throughout the year including:
- Concessions during athletic events
- Annual youth basketball tournament
- Annual youth AAU volleyball tournament
- Annual golf tournament at River Bend Golf Course
- Coupon sales featuring businesses from Story City and Ames
- And various other fundraisers throughout the year including Norsemen fan gear sales
Booster Club Membership Levels
New Membership Levels will be available for 2024-2025. Stay tuned for those changes in the next couple months.
